These are some of the activities we did during our Immersion Holiday Program advertised on KidsFest. Our immersion holiday program is for children 5- 12 years old with or without Spanish language experience. We have different teachers working with different ages and abilities. Students can enrol for one day or in all 5 immersion days.

Theme day activities and schedule for July 2016:

Children can be dropped off from 8.30am

9.00 – 10.00 am. Program opens – Welcome routine & board games

10 – 11.00 am. Lead up class to excursion – Vocabulary & phrases to be use during excursion or activity, arts & crafts. Morning tea**

11.00 – 1.00 pm. Daily excursion or main activity

1.00 – 2.00 pm. Return to the Institute & Picnic lunch**

2.00 – 3.00 pm. Action & ball games Farewell routine – tidy up

• Monday 11 July  – 9 to 3pm – Cooking typical Hispanic food
• Tuesday 12 July – 9 to 3pm – Native NZ nature vs. Latin American nature  & Riccarton Bush visit
• Wednesday 13 July – 9 to 3pm – Zumba & Flamenco dancing
• Thursday 14 July – 9 to 3pm – NZ & Hispanic history & Museum visit/ Art Gallery visit
• Friday 15 July  – 9 to 3pm – Fiesta Latina
