Hola a todos!
Please read as there is some important information on this newsletter for all past and current students; Conversation for Beginners & private classes during our term break and 2 free events coming soon.
Term 3 is coming to an end. We have exciting news for this term holidays, term 4 and next year.
We want to say Gracias! for all your support this year. Term 4 is coming sooner than we think and we are going to offer new courses for adults and children too.
Conversation for Beginners 1, 2 & 3 courses
Little by little we are building up student numbers in this pop-in class for current students. We are willing to keep it going during the term holidays (for 4 weeks) and on term 4. This will be the only class running between term 3 and term 4. The success of the class depends on the number of students who are enrolling so we are asking students to enrol and pay for all 4 classes this term holiday as it is otherwise not viable to run just this one class.
You can enrol online and the cost is $80 per 4 weeks. This is a good alternative for those students who are travelling soon and want to put in practice what they have learnt in class, it is a good class for revision too. If you are not sure your level is up to take this class talk to your teacher for advice. We are happy to help you.
- Thursdays 11/09 & 18/09 pop in class $20 per class (email or call if you are coming)
- Thursdays 25/09 to 16/10 4 week conversation class for Beginners 1, 2 & 3 enrol online & pay before the course starts $80
- Thursdays 23/10 to 11/12 pop in class $20 per class (email or call if you are coming)
Grammar workshop
To answer your requests about having a grammar only class, Beatriz is going to run a grammar workshop on Wednesday 17/09 from 6.00 to 9.00 pm. This is a one off class suitable for Beginners students who want to polish their knowledge in grammar. Enrol online or email us.
- Wednesday 17/09 6.00 to 9.00 pm $60 per student
End of term 3 Tapas Night + conversation for travellers
We are happy to be able to offer these end of the term events. They are casual and fun and you will be Thursday 25/09 7.30 to 8.30pm – free for all past & current adult studentspracticing Spanish with other students. Please bear in mind this is a relaxing evening and we are not testing in any way your level in front of other students. This is a fun activity; we’d love everybody to speak Spanish but we’ll understand if you are coming just to listen, meet other students and have a good time.
Free Latin American & Spanish Film Festival
Laura will be going to the Friday 12/09 session at 6.30pm to the Argentinian movie “No sos vos, soy yo” (It´s not you, it´s me). Come along, this is a free event – LASFF is an annual non-profit event. The movies are in their original language with English subtitles. Venue: University of Canterbury.
Private classes
Private one to one classes and group classes are available during our term holidays. The cost is $40 for one-to-one classes and $60 for 2 or 3 students. Talk to us to discuss availability and dates.
Enrol for term 4 from Saturday 13/09 on our website please. Remember course availability is dependent on enrolments. It is with your help and early commitment we are able to offer a range of courses for children, families (children & parents), after school programmes and adult classes.
