End of Term 2

Esperamos que esten bien – we hope you are all ok. This is how I am feeling these days…

Term 2 has come and almost gone. Fun time is almost here! Come and enjoy our Free Events where you will practice your Spanish in a relaxed atmosphere.

• Adults

This term, we will offer our first Movie Night on Wed 1 July. Past and current students and their family and friends are welcome. Come along to the Gibson Centre (Rangi Ruru’s Library) at 6.00pm. The movie will be shown in its original language with English subtitles. Pop-corn will be provided!

Corazon de Leon (Heart of lion): Comedy, drama, romance. From IMDb (7 stars) After she loses her mobile phone, a lawyer receives a call from the person who found it. They talk and hit it off very quickly. But she’s in shock when she sees that he’s very short. 1 hs 45 min.

• Children

KidsFest 2015: all children currently enrolled in term 2 are welcome to come to our ‘Hispanic workshop fun!’ free of charge. Please enrol on the website asap as spaces are limited. There are 2 options: 2-3 years old and 4-7 years old on Wednesdays 9.00 am or 3.00pm. These workshops are usually $30 per family.

Immersion Holiday Program

This Immersion Program is running on Mondays and Thursdays during school holidays from 9.00 to 3.00pm – For children ages 5 to 12 years old. Please check our website for a full program description and fees.

Conversation classes for adults during Term 2 break

There are 3 weeks between the end of Term 2 and Term 3 (all courses start on the week of the 28 July). If you like to keep going and practice what you have learned in term 2, come along to our conversation classes on Wednesdays. More information on the link below:

• Conversation for Beginners – Weds 7.35pm starting 8 July (3 weeks)
• Conversation for Intermediate – Weds 6.00pm starting 8 July (3 weeks)

Courses in Term 3

All courses are updated on the website so you can enrol now. Please enrol asap so we make sure we have minimum numbers to run classes – some classes are quite small. We are adding a new Advanced course on Wednesdays 7.35pm (level B2-C1).

Beginners 1 – Fast-Track starts on Wed 1 July 6.00pm (4 weeks). There are spaces available! You can otherwise start Beginners 1 on Monday 27 July at 6.00pm or Thursday 30 July 7.35pm (8 weeks)

Spanish Club – Saturdays

During Term time we will offer a Spanish Club for children ages 5 to 12 years old from 11 to 1pm, we will have different teachers in charge of different ages and abilities – from beginners to advanced. The club will run for 8 weeks during the term and we will offer a Free event at the end of it on week 9 as usual. The cost is $160 per term. More details on our website.
